Ok, so I got tired of being affraid to fly at Tom Bass because of the interference up and down the ditch. I would get spiked every time I flew, 3 or 4 times per flight. Flying very nervous is no way to fly your planes. With all the interference I was getting, there was no way I could get myself to do a low pass flyby.. just too much stress involved. I researched some 2.4 gHz Radios and compared prices.. Some were within my budget, but adding spare RX, would have broken my bank account as they are very expensive. One can spend an easy 80 bucks on 1 RX for a Spectrum Radio, that's way too much for me. So, before I pulled the triger on a new radio, I kept researching...
What I found is that all PPM radios can be converted fairly cheap. I encountered a HASSAN thread over at rcgroups.com.
X8---new 2.4GHz Radio System

I read the whole thread on the subject... YES!!! There was more than 100 pages worth of info on the subject, dating back to 2007 or something crazy!! I was convinced that this was the way to go and I jumped on the band wagon.. I ordered my HASSAN XD8 Module for my Airtronics or any other PPM Radio.. rcgropus thread..

I order my HASSAN XD8 Module from

Check out the prices of the RX's compared to Spectrum 6 ch ones.. not even half the price.. at this price buying extra RX is like buying regular FM ones..
I have had no issued flying at Tom Bass ever since. I didn't spent a preety penny on a new Radio and I use my faithful known system. It has given flying with confidence a new minning. I can fly all up and down the field as low as I want with no hickups coming from my radio..
Thanks everyone for reading this.. It might help someone with the stress of flying at Tom Bass while using FM Rx's!!
