I hope everyone had a great time over the holidays! I know we have had some COLD and nasty weather the past month. Let us hope for improvement soon.
I would like to remind every one that is that time of the year again.....We all need to renew our club membership. Please take advantage of our early payment discount. All members current as of Dec. 31 2009 get a $10.00 discount off the normal $40.00 dues if paid by Jan 31 2010, which just happens to be our next SHARCS CLUB meeting day. So save yourself some money and pay your dues early. Checks should be made out to "South Houston Area Radio Control Society" you can mail payment to: P.O. Box 84295, Pearland,Texas,77584. Or present your payment to any club officer at the field.
We will also be holding nominations for 2010 club officer positions at the Jan. 31 2010 club meeting. Any current SHARCS Club Member that has been in the club for at least 90 days & holds a valid AMA membership will be considered eligible to hold office.
An election committee will be appointed following the officer nominations. Elections will be held at the Feb. 2010 SHARCS Club meeting.
New for 2010: SHARCS I.D. Badges will be issued for all 2010 club members. These I.D. Badges will be allowed to be posted on the soon to be revised Frequency control board. Your I.D. Badge will be considered proof of AMA membership. As soon as it warms up a little Roy & myself will be back to work on the control board.
Again, please take advantage of the early club dues payment option. I hope to see everyone at the next meeting....maybe we can get Steve Willis to cook something up for us....I will let every one know about that later.
